Abstract | Disclosed are methods for performing power management of a multi-interface transponder (MIT) device such as a location tag device. The MIT device can be switched among a variety of power states based on detected events for example, which are detecting movement of the MIT device, receiving a wake-up signal, receiving an indication of a switch in a transport mode, and/or detecting that the MIT device can be lost based on a lack of contact with another device, for example, for more than a threshold period of time.
