Abstract The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling photographing of an object to increase transmission efficiency of video data. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method comprises the following steps: receiving orientation information of an object from images captured by each of a plurality of cameras; determining a camera photograph the object in a direction most parallel to a direction in which the front surface of the object is facing as a first camera on the basis of the orientation information and setting the photographing resolution of the determined first camera to a high resolution; determining motion direction information of the object on the basis of an image captured by the first camera; and determining a second camera whose photographing resolution is set to a high resolution on the basis of the motion direction information and setting the photographing resolution of the second camera to the high resolution. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 객체 촬영 제어 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은, 복수 개의 카메라 각각의 촬영 영상으로부터 객체의 지향 정보를 수신하는 단계, 상기 지향 정보에 기초하여, 상기 객체의 정면이 향하고 있는 방향과 가장 평행에 근접한 방향에서 상기 객체를 촬영하는 카메라를 제1 카메라로 결정하고, 상기 결정된 제1 카메라의 촬영 해상도를 고해상도로 설정하는 단계, 상기 제1 카메라의 촬영 영상에 기초하여 상기 객체의 움직임 방향 정보를 결정하는 단계, 상기 움직임 방향 정보에 기초하여 촬영 해상도를 고해상도로 설정할 제2 카메라를 결정하는 단계 및 상기 제2 카메라의 촬영 해상도를 고해상도로 설정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
