Abstract A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode; a case having an internal space for accommodating the electrode assembly and an opening that is open on one side; a cap plate coupled to the opening of the case and having a terminal hole for exposing the inner space; and an electrode terminal electrically connected to the electrode assembly through the terminal hole and overlapping with the cap plate, wherein the cap plate and the electrode terminal are made of different metals. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 이차 전지는 제1 전극, 제2 전극 및 상기 제1 전극과 상기 제2전극 사이에 위치하는 세퍼레이터를 포함하는 전극 조립체, 전극 조립체를 수용하는 내부 공간을 가지며, 일측이 개방된 개구를 가지는 케이스, 케이스의 개구에 결합되며, 내부 공간을 노출하는 단자 구멍을 가지는 캡 플레이트, 단자 구멍을 통해서 전극 조립체와 전기적으로 연결되며 캡 플레이트와 중첩하는 전극 단자를 포함하고, 캡 플레이트와 전극 단자는 서로 다른 금속으로 이루어진다.
