Abstract The present disclosure proposes an apparatus for determining an intestinal microbiome index. The apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: obtaining test information on a biological sample of a subject from a test device; determining, based on the test information, first information regarding the similarity of intestinal microorganisms, second information regarding the ratio of harmful microorganisms in the intestine, third information regarding the ratio of beneficial microorganisms in the intestine, and/or fourth information regarding the diversity of microorganisms in the intestine; and determining, based on the determined information, an intestinal microbiome index indicating the state of the intestinal microbiome of the subject. 본 개시는 장내 마이크로바이옴 지수를 결정하기 위한 장치를 제안한다. 본 개시에 따른 장치는, 검사 장치로부터 대상자의 생체 시료에 대한 검사 정보를 획득하고, 검사 정보에 기초하여, 장내 미생물 유사도에 관한 제1 정보, 장내 유해 미생물 비율에 관한 제2 정보, 장내 유익 미생물 비율에 관한 제3 정보 및/또는 장내 미생물 다양성에 관한 제4 정보를 결정하고, 결정된 정보에 기초하여, 대상자의 장내 마이크로바이옴의 상태를 지시하는 장내 마이크로바이옴 지수를 결정할 수 있다.
