Summary:According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a display apparatus comprises: a cooling fan including a motor; a pulse detection unit detecting a pulse signal output from the motor by rotation of the cooling fan and counting the number of high pulses from the pulse signal; and a control unit calculating a pulse frequency of the pulse signal based on the number of high pulses, determining which level among levels of each pre-stored frequency section the pulse frequency belongs to, and determining that an error of the cooling fan occurs if a pulse frequency level deviates from a pre-set level. 개시된 일 측면에 따른 디스플레이 장치는 모터를 포함하는 냉각 팬과 냉각 팬의 회전에 의해 모터에서 출력되는 펄스 신호를 감지하고, 펄스 신호에서 하이 펄스(HIGH PULSE)의 개수를 카운팅 하는 펄스 감지부와 하이 펄스의 개수에 기초하여 펄스 신호의 펄스 주파수를 산출하고, 펄스 주파수가 미리 저장된 주파수 구간 별 레벨 중 어느 레벨에 속하는지 판단하고, 펄스 주파수의 레벨이 미리 정해진 레벨에서 벗어나면 상기 냉각 팬의 오류가 발생한 것으로 판단하는 제어부를 포함한다.
