Abstract | The present invention relates to a black ice detecting vehicle comprising: a driving vehicle speed sensor measuring speeds of a front wheel and a rear wheel mounted on the vehicle; an intermediate wheel speed sensor measuring a speed of an intermediate wheel which is installed between the front and rear wheels and rotates in an idle state; a driving analysis unit generating GPS information on a surface of a road when the driving speed is faster than the intermediate wheel speed by comparing the speeds measured at the driving vehicle speed sensor and the intermediate wheel speed sensor; and a GPS transceiver which transmits GPS information generated by the driving analysis unit outward and receives GPS information on surfaces of other roads. The present invention detects formation of black ice on the road and transmits the information to a following vehicle and the road traffic authority to prevent a traffic accident.
