Disclosed are an electronic device for analyzing a skin image and a control method thereof. The electronic device includes a display, a distance sensor, a camera module, and a processor. The processor is configured to: obtain a two-dimensional face image of a user via the camera and obtain distance sensing data via the distance sensor; identify a distance between the user and the electronic device, and a rotation angle of a face of the user with respect to the electronic device, using the obtained 2D face image and the obtained distance sensing data; modify at least a part of the 2D face image based on at least one of the identified distance and the identified rotation angle; and provide information about at least the part of the modified 2D face image via the display. Accordingly, even when a user's face is photographed with the user's face rotated to a specific angle instead of facing the front with respect to the electronic device, skin information as if photographed with the user's face facing the front may be acquired. 피부 이미지를 분석하는 전자 장치 및 그 제어 방법이 개시된다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른 전자 장치는, 디스플레이, 거리 센싱 모듈, 카메라 모듈, 및 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는, 상기 카메라 모듈을 통해 사용자의 2차원 얼굴 이미지를 획득하고, 상기 거리 센싱 모듈을 통해 거리 센싱 데이터를 획득하고, 상기 획득된 2차원 얼굴 이미지 및 상기 거리 센싱 데이터를 이용하여, 상기 사용자와 상기 전자 장치와의 거리 및 얼굴의 회전 각도를 식별하고, 상기 식별된 거리 및 상기 얼굴의 회전 각도 중 적어도 하나에 기반하여 상기 2차원 얼굴 이미지의 적어도 일부분을 보정하고, 상기 보정된 2차원 얼굴 이미지의 적어도 일부분에 대한 정보를 상기 디스플레이를 통하여 제공하도록 설정될 수 있다.
