Abstract The present invention relates to an air conditioner which detects an activity amount of an occupant through human body detection and changes set temperature based on the sensed activity amount. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the air conditioner comprises: a human body detecting unit detecting an occupant; an activity amount calculating unit calculating the activity amount of the occupant based on a sensed position of the occupant; and a temperature control unit increasing and decreasing the set temperature as much as the unit temperature according to the calculated activity amount. 본 발명은 인체감지를 통해 재실자의 활동량을 감지하고, 감지된 활동량에 기초하여 설정온도를 변경하는 공기조화기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 공기조화기는 재실자를 감지하는 인체감지부, 상기 감지된 재실자의 위치에 기초하여 상기 재실자의 활동량을 산출하는 활동량산출부 및 상기 산출된 활동량에 따라 설정온도를 단위온도만큼 증감하는 온도제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
