Abstract A transmission apparatus is disclosed. According to the present invention, the transmission apparatus comprises: an encoding unit which performs low density parity check (LDPC) encoding to generate an LDPC codeword; an interleaver for interleaving the LDPC codeword; and a modulation unit for mapping the interleaved LDPC codeword to a modulation symbol. The modulation unit may map a bit included in a preset bit group among a plurality of bit groups constituting the LDPC codeword to a preset bit in the modulation symbol.
