Abstract The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display apparatus capable of implementing a high contrast ratio. To this end, the liquid crystal display apparatus of the present invention comprises: a liquid crystal; a lower polarizing plate disposed under the liquid crystal layer; and a louver film layer disposed under the lower polarizing plate, and having a plurality of louvers formed therein, wherein the plurality of louvers formed on the louver film layer are arranged in parallel with each other. 본 발명은 높은 콘트라스트비를 구현할 수 있는 액정 표시 장치에 관한 것이다. 이를 위한 본 발명의 액정 표시 장치는 액정층; 액정층 하부에 배치되는 하부 편광판; 및 하부 편광판 하부에 배치되고, 복수의 루버들이 내부에 형성된 루버 필름층을 구비하고, 루버 필름층에 형성된 복수의 루버들은 서로 평행하게 배치되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
