Abstract The present invention relates to a vehicle and a control method thereof, and more specifically, to voice masking technology that allows only a specific person among vehicle passengers to listen to a voice signal such as a call tone, and other passengers not to listen to the voice signal. The vehicle according to an embodiment includes: a voice signal receiving unit for receiving the voice signal; at least one speaker provided inside the vehicle and outputting the voice signal; and a control unit which converts the received voice signal into a frequency, generates a masking sound that blocks the transmission of information included in the voice signal based on the frequency band of the converted voice signal, and generates a control signal so that the generated masking sound can be output to a predetermined area inside the vehicle. 차량 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 통화음 등의 음성 신호를 차량 탑승자 중 특정인만 청취할 수 있고 다른 탑승자들은 청취하지 못하도록 하는 음성 마스킹 기술에 관한 것이다. 일 실시예에 따른 차량은, 음성 신호를 수신하는 음성 신호 수신부, 차량 내부에 마련되어 상기 음성 신호를 출력하는 적어도 하나의 스피커 및 상기 수신된 음성 신호를 주파수 변환하고, 상기 변환된 음성 신호의 주파수 대역에 기초하여 상기 음성 신호가 포함하는 정보의 전달을 차단하는 마스킹 사운드를 생성하고, 상기 생성된 마스킹 사운드가 상기 차량 내부의 미리 정해진 영역으로 출력되도록 제어 신호를 생성하는 제어부를 포함한다.
