Summary:The present invention relates to a method for predicting a particle diameter of methacrylate butadiene styrene (MBS). According to an aspect of the present invention, the method for predicting a particle diameter of MBS produced by a plurality of batch processes comprises: a prediction step of predicting a particle diameter of the MBS through partial least squares regression analysis based on a plurality of predictors including temperatures of heat exchange water measured at predetermined time intervals from a specific time point of a specific round; and a control step of controlling the temperature of the heat exchange water based on the predicted MBS particle diameter. 본 발명은 MBS 입경 예측 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면, 복수 회차의 배치(batch) 공정으로 제조되는 메타크릴레이트 부타디엔 스타이렌(Methacrylate Butadiene Styrene, MBS)의 입경을 예측하는 방법으로서, 특정 회차의 특정 시점으로부터 소정 시간 간격으로 측정된 열교환수의 온도들을 포함하는 복수 개의 예측인자를 기초로 하여 부분 최소 제곱 회귀분석을 통해 MBS의 입경을 예측하는 예측 단계; 및 예측된 MBS입경에 기초하여 열교환수의 온도를 조절하는 조절 단계를 포함하는 MBS 입경 예측 방법이 제공된다.
