Abstract Provided is a radio frequency (RF) photon spectrometer, which comprises: a receiver branch including a laser, an optical modulator optically coupled to the laser and configured to modulate laser light based on an RF input signal, and an optical band pass filter optically coupled to the optical modulator; and optical comb branches including a frequency comb generator optically coupled to the laser and each coupled to an individual RF reference signal, wherein the RF reference signal has different frequencies associated with other RF reference signal frequencies.
