Provided is a toilet bowl as a sewage gutter, which provides a place on which a lid of the toilet bowl is put when a user throws away contents of the toilet bowl. The toilet bowl (2) includes a toilet bowl body (20), a lid (8), and a linear handle (22). The handle (22) is disposed at a rear end portion of a peripheral wall (201) of the toilet bowl body (20). The toilet bowl body (20) includes a mouth (21) disposed at an upper end of a front end portion of the peripheral wall (201), and a lid holder (23) protruding from the rear end portion of the peripheral wall (201) to be located above the handle (22). The lid (8) can convert a closed state to close an upper opening of the peripheral wall (201) into an open state to open the upper opening and vice versa. The open state is the state that a rear end portion of the lid (8) is bumped against the upper surface of the lid holder (23) and a front portion of the lid (8) gets far away from the upper opening of the peripheral wall (201). 변기통의 내용물을 버릴 때에, 변기통의 덮개를 두는 곳을 마련하는 것이 곤란하지 않은, 오물받이용의 변기통을 제안한다. 변기통(2)은 변기통 본체(20)와 덮개(8)와 직선형상의 핸들(22)을 구비한다. 핸들(22)은 변기통 본체(20)의 둘레벽(201)의 후단부에 마련된다. 변기통 본체(20)는 둘레벽(201)의 전단부의 상단에 마련된 주둥이(21)와, 핸들(22)의 상방에 위치하도록, 둘레벽(201)의 후단부로부터 돌출된 덮개받이(23)를 갖는다. 덮개(8)는 둘레벽(201)의 상단 개구를 폐색하는 폐쇄 자세와, 이 상단 개구를 개방하는 개방 자세로 전환 가능하다. 개방 자세는, 덮개(8)의 후단부가 덮개받이(23)의 상면에 부딪치고, 덮개(8)의 전방측의 부분이 둘레벽(201)의 상단 개구로부터 멀어져 위치하는 자세이다.
