Abstract | An imaging optical system of the present invention includes: a first lens having positive refractive power; a second lens having negative refractive power; a third lens having positive refractive power; a fourth lens having positive refractive power; a fifth lens having negative refractive power; and a sixth lens having positive refractive power, wherein F No. is 2.0 or less and satisfies the following conditional expression. The conditional expression satisfies OAL / (Img HT) < 1.50, wherein OAL is the distance from an object side surface of the first lens to an upper surface, and Img HT is 1/2 of the diagonal length of the upper surface.
