보다 콤팩트한 쿠션의 수납 형태를 달성하면서 승차인의 조기 구속에 기여할 수 있는 커튼 에어백 장치를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 커튼 에어백 장치(100)는 가스를 제공하는 인플레이터(106)와, 프론트 사이드 윈도(110) 등의 상방의 헤드라이닝의 내측에 차량 전후 방향으로 긴 수납 형태로 수납되어 가스를 수급하여 팽창 전개하는 쿠션(102)을 구비한다. 수납 형태의 쿠션(102)은 쿠션(102)이 하방에서 상방을 향하여 권회된 상태에서 후단(136)이 중앙측을 향하여 밴딩된 밴딩부(142)를 가진다. 밴딩될 때 권회된 상태의 쿠션(102)은 전개 상태에 있어서의 쿠션(102)의 후단(136) 측의 소정 범위가 차량 전후 방향의 중앙측을 향하여 폴딩된 상태에서 권회되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한다. An object of the present invention is to provide a curtain airbag apparatus capable of contributing to early restraint of an occupant, and achieving a cushion storage in a more compact form. A curtain airbag apparatus 100 is provided with an inflator 106 which supplies gas, and a cushion 102 which is stored, in an elongated storage form in a vehicle front-rear direction, on an inner side of a headliner above a front side window 110 and so on, and receives the gas so as to inflate and deploy. The cushion 102 in the storage form has a bent-over portion 142 which is obtained by bending over a rear end 136 of the cushion 102 towards a center side thereof from a state in which the cushion 102 is rolled upwards from below. The state of the cushion 102 when the bending over is performed i.e. the rolled state of the cushion 102, is achieved by rolling the cushion 102 from a state in which a prescribed area at the rear end 136 of the cushion 102 in a deployed state is folded over towards the center side in the vehicle front-rear direction.
