본 발명은 밸브 (1), 특히 진공밸브에 관한 것이며, 상기 밸브는 적어도 하나의 밸브 하우징 (2) 과, 적어도 하나의 폐쇄요소 (3) 와, 적어도 하나의 밸브시트 (4) 를 가지며, 이때 상기 밸브시트 (4) 는 상기 밸브 (1) 의 적어도 하나의 밸브 개구부 (5) 를 둘러싸고, 상기 폐쇄요소 (3) 는 적어도 하나의 폐쇄요소 드라이브 (6, 7) 에 의해, 상기 폐쇄요소 (3) 가 상기 밸브 개구부 (5) 를 적어도 부분적으로 해제하는 적어도 하나의 개방위치와, 상기 밸브 개구부 (5) 를 폐쇄하기 위해 상기 폐쇄요소 (3) 가 상기 폐쇄요소 (3) 의 밀봉면 (8) 과 함께 상기 밸브시트 (4) 에 밀어붙여지는 폐쇄위치 사이에서 왕복으로 움직여질 수 있고, 이때 상기 밸브 (1) 의 적어도 하나의 표면 (9) 은 0.4 ㎛보다 작거나 또는 같은, 바람직하게는 0.25 ㎛보다 작거나 또는 같은 평균 표면거칠기 (RZ) 를 갖는다.
