The present invention relates to a polymer, a method for producing the polymer, and a hydrophilic coating composition comprising the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a hydrophilic coating composition which comprises: a polymer comprising a (meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide-based repeating unit with zwitter-ion groups on side chains; and an ionic silane coupling agent. 본 발명은 중합체, 중합체의 제조 방법, 및 이를 포함하는 친수성 코팅 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 측쇄에 양쪽성 이온 그룹(zwitter-ion group)을 구비한, (메트)아크릴레이트 또는 (메트)아크릴아미드계 반복 단위를 포함하는 중합체 및 이온성 실란 커플링제를 포함하는 친수성 코팅 조성물에 관한 것이다.
