The present invention relates to a rivet fastening apparatus to fixate a television (TV) set on a wall and a method thereof and, more specifically, relates to a rivet fastening apparatus placing a wall rivet on a fixated jig die to press a punch with precise control of an output of a hydraulic cylinder, thereby maintaining a constant quality; and a method thereof. According to the present invention, an apparatus fastening a wall rivet having a tap formed on an inner circumferential surface to a bracket in order to install the TV set on the wall comprises: a stage wherein the bracket is mounted; one or more jig dies to support the wall rivet mounted on a coupling hole of the bracket; one or more punches pressing the wall rivet to deform a shape thereof, thus fastening the wall rivet to the bracket; a horizontal moving means to move forwards or backwards the stage between the punch and the jig die; and a driving source to press the punch in an upper part. 본 발명은 TV를 벽체에 고정하기 위한 리벳 체결장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 고정식 지그 다이에 월 리벳을 올려 놓고, 정밀한 유압실린더의 출력을 제어하여 펀치를 프레스함으로써 일정한 품질을 유지할 수 있는 TV를 벽체에 고정하기 위한 리벳 체결장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 리벳 체결장치는 TV를 벽에 설치하기 위하여 내주면에 탭이 형성된 월 리벳(wall rivet)을 브라켓에 체결하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 브라켓이 안착되는 스테이지; 상기 브라켓의 결합공에 장착된 상기 월 리벳을 지지하는 적어도 1 이상의 지그 다이; 상기 월 리벳을 가압하여 형태를 변형시킴으로써 상기 월 리벳을 상기 브라켓에 체결하는 적어도 1 이상의 펀치; 상기 스테이지를 상기 펀치와 지그 다이 사이로 진입시키거나 후퇴시키는 수평이동수단; 및 상기 펀치를 상부에서 가압하는 구동원;을 포함한다.
