A virtual subscriber identification module for providing a mobile communication service using a mobile terminal located in a home country without using the roaming service of a mobile communication provider abroad, a virtual mobile terminal and a VoIP communication method using the same are disclosed. The virtual subscriber identification module includes a wireless communication part which is physically separated from a mobile terminal and receives subscriber information from a virtual mobile terminal where a subscriber identification module for the mobile terminal is installed, by using a wireless communication network; and an interface part which is located in the home country and transmits the subscriber information to the mobile terminal where the virtual subscriber identity module is installed. The mobile terminal transmits the subscriber information to a mobile communication server by using a mobile communication network for subscriber authentication and location registration. 해외에서 이동통신 사업자의 로밍 서비스를 이용하지 않고, 국내에 위치하는 모바일 단말을 이용하여 이동통신 서비스를 제공하기 위한 가상 가입자 식별 모듈 및 가상 모바일 단말, 이를 이용하는 VoIP 통신 방법이 개시된다. 개시된 가상 가입자 식별 모듈은, 모바일 단말과 물리적으로 분리된, 상기 모바일 단말에 대한 가입자 식별 모듈이 탑재된 가상 모바일 단말로부터, 무선 통신망을 이용하여 가입자 정보를 수신하는 무선 통신부; 및 국내에 위치하며, 상기 가상 가입자 식별 모듈이 탑재된 상기 모바일 단말로 상기 가입자 정보를 전송하는 인터페이스부를 포함하며, 상기 모바일 단말은, 가입자 인증 및 위치 등록을 위해 이동통신 망을 이용하여 상기 가입자 정보를 이동통신 서버로 전송한다.
