Abstract | The present invention relates to an engine monitoring system and method. The engine monitoring system comprises: an engine monitoring part which monitors the state of an engine installed in a ship; and a diagnosis part which provides the diagnosis information with respect to the state of the engine, wherein the engine monitoring part collects the static and dynamic data of the engine, and wherein the diagnosis part provides the diagnosis information when the static data is out of a static reference range and the dynamic data is out of a dynamic reference range.
