Abstract The present invention relates to an engine monitoring system and method. The engine monitoring system comprises: an engine monitoring part which monitors the state of an engine installed in a ship; and a diagnosis part which provides the diagnosis information with respect to the state of the engine, wherein the engine monitoring part collects the static and dynamic data of the engine, and wherein the diagnosis part provides the diagnosis information when the static data is out of a static reference range and the dynamic data is out of a dynamic reference range. 본 발명은 엔진 모니터링 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 선박에 설치된 엔진의 상태를 모니터링하는 엔진 모니터링부; 및 상기 엔진의 상태에 대한 진단 정보를 제공하는 진단부를 포함하며, 상기 엔진 모니터링부는, 상기 엔진의 정적 데이터와 동적 데이터를 수집하며, 상기 진단부는, 상기 정적 데이터가 정적 기준범위를 이탈하고 상기 동적 데이터가 동적 기준범위를 벗어나면, 상기 진단 정보를 제공하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
