Abstract The present invention relates to an electronic device, which measures a gas concentration rate and provides data for a user as well as providing a gas treatment message, and an operation control method thereof. According to the present invention, the electronic device includes: a state sensing unit which senses the state of the electronic device; a gas sensor which senses gas when the sensed state is a set condition; a processor which analyzes the gas concentration rate sensed in advance; and a display unit which displays the analyzed gas concentration rate. According to the present invention, a method for operating the electronic device includes: an operation of sensing the state of the electronic device; an operation of sensing the gas when the sensed state is the set condition; an operation of analyzing the sensed gas concentration rate; and an operation of displaying the analyzed gas concentration rate. 본 발명은 가스의 농도를 측정하여 사용자에게 데이터를 제공할 수 있고, 가스처리 메시지를 제공할 수 있는 전자 장치 및 그의 동작 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 전자 장치는 상기 전자장치의 상태를 감지하는 상태감지부와, 상기 감지된 상태가 설정된 조건이면 가스를 감지하는 가스센서와, 상기 감지된 가스의 농도를 분석하는 프로세서와, 상기 분석된 가스의 농도를 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명의 전자 장치의 동작 방법은, 상기 전자장치의 상태를 감지하는 동작과, 상기 감지된 상태가 설정된 조건이면 가스를 감지하는 동작과, 상기 감지된 가스의 농도를 분석하는 동작과, 상기 분석된 가스의 농도를 표시하는 동작을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
