Abstract According to an embodiment of the present invention, a power amplifier includes: an amplification unit which amplifies an input signal; a sensing unit which varies a resistance value; and a biasing unit which provides a current to the amplification unit and biases the amplification unit. The sensing unit varies the current provided to the amplification unit by the biasing unit based on a bias of the amplification unit to reduce the occurrence frequency of an overcurrent. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 전력 증폭기는, 입력 신호를 증폭시키는 증폭부; 저항값이 변하는 센싱부; 및 증폭부에 전류를 제공하여 바이어싱(biasing)하는 바이어싱부; 를 포함하고, 센싱부는 증폭부의 바이어스에 기초하여 바이어싱부에 의해 증폭부에 제공되는 전류를 변경시킴으로써, 과전류의 발생빈도를 줄일 수 있다.
