Abstract A liquid crystal display according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pixel electrode including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode; a common electrode facing the pixel electrode; a first thin film transistor connected to the first subpixel electrode; a second thin film transistor connected to the second subpixel electrode; and a gate line and a data line connected to the first and second thin film transistors. The common electrode applies high/low common voltages to the first and second subpixel electrodes in a swing manner. The first and second thin film transistors apply a first pixel voltage and a second pixel voltage to the first and second subpixel electrodes according to a data voltage applied through the data line. Therefore, the liquid crystal display of the present invention can prevent high/low reversing and mixing and improve the visibility of the liquid crystal display by separately applying the high/low pixel voltages through the two transistors. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 액정 표시 장치는, 제1 부화소 전극 및 제2 부화소 전극을 각각 포함하는 화소 전극; 상기 화소 전극과 마주보는 공통 전극; 상기 제1 부화소 전극에 연결되어 있는 제1 박막 트랜지스터; 상기 제2 부화소 전극에 연결되어 있는 제2 박막 트랜지스터; 및 상기 제1 및 제2 박막 트랜지스터에 연결되어 있는 게이트선 및 데이터선을 포함하며, 상기 공통 전극은 상기 제1 및 제2 부화소 전극으로 스윙 방식에 따른 고/저(High/Low)의 공통전압을 인가하고, 상기 제1 및 제2 박막 트랜지스터는 상기 데이터선을 통해 인가되는 데이터 전압에 따라 상기 제1 및 제2 부화소 전극으로 제1 픽셀전압 및 제2 픽셀전압을 인가함에 따라, 트랜지스터 두 개로 High/Low Pixel을 분리하여 전압을 인가함으로써, High/Low 역전현상 및 섞임현상을 방지하고 액정 표시 장치의 시인성을 개선하고자 한다.
