Abstract | The present invention relates to a system for generating and reproducing electronic publication (EPUB) using a style sheet animation in real time, and a method of generating and reproducing the EPUB animation, which is performed by the system. The system includes a cascading style sheet 3 (CSS3) animation element input module (10), a hypertext markup language 5 (HTML5) custom attribute conversion module (20), and an e-book file generation module (30). The CSS3 animation element input module (10) receives the selection of the type of an animation from a user, a CSS3 animation element required to set the selected type of animation, and receives a CSS3 animation element required for at least one operation change for the selected type of the animation to create an operating list of the animation. The HTML5 custom attribute conversion module (20) converts the input CSS3 animation element into an HTML5 custom attribute to be stored, and inputs the CSS3 animation element converted to the HTML5 custom attribute into an HTML tag to be stored into the form of an HTML5 document file. The e-book file generation module (30) creates an EPUB3 file using the stored HTML5 document file. Accordingly, an ordinary user can easily make various EPUB files including an EPUB animation.
