The present invention relates to a display device and a driving method thereof. The display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises; multiple first electrodes; multiple second electrodes intersected with the multiple first electrodes; and a touch controller for applying a first driving signal to one end of the multiple first electrodes for selectively applying a second driving signal to the multiple second electrodes, for detecting self capacitance for at least one first electrode to which the first driving signal is applied and multiple second electrodes which are intersected with the at least one first electrode and to which the second driving signal is applied, and for detecting mutual capacitance for the at least one first electrode and multiple second electrodes which are intersected with the at least one first electrode and to which the second driving signal is not applied.
