Abstract The present invention relates to a method for controlling an ice maker comprising: a water collector for containing water; a compressor capable of varying output; an evaporator for evaporating a refrigerant pumped by the compressor; and multiple immersed bars arranged between the entrance of the evaporator for introducing the refrigerant and the exit of the evaporator for discharging the refrigerant to have ice grown on surfaces by being immersed in the water inside the water collector. The method for controlling an ice maker comprises: (a) operating the compressor with a predetermined cooling capacity and growing ice with a predetermined thickness from all the multiple immersed bars; and (b) operating the compressor with a cooling capacity increased compared with step (a). 본 발명의 제빙기의 제어방법은 물이 담기는 물받이와, 출력 가변이 가능한 압축기와, 상기 압축기에 의해 압송된 냉매를 증발시키는 증발기와, 냉매가 유입되는 상기 증발기의 입구와 냉매가 토출되는 상기 증발기의 출구 사이에 배열되어 각각이 상기 물받이 내의 물에 침지됨으로써 표면에 얼음의 생장이 이루어지는 다수개의 침지봉을 포함하는 제빙기의 제어방법에 있어서, (a) 상기 압축기를 소정의 냉력으로 구동시키며, 상기 다수개의 침지봉 모두에서 소정 두께의 얼음을 성장시키는 단계; 및 (b) 상기 (a)단계에서 보다 상기 압축기의 냉력을 증가시켜 구동하는 단계를 포함한다.
