The present invention relates to a control method for cleaning a wet-type air cleaner, which comprises: a determination step for determining whether to be required for cleaning a water tank assembly or a disk assembly; and a cleaning step for cleaning by operating a ultrasonic vibrator equipped in the water tank assembly while rotating the disk assembly in a state of a ventilation fan stopped, in the case of being determined the cleaning to be required in the determination step. The method has effects in providing a clean use environment by preventing polluted substances caused by cleaning from leaking to the outside due to the fan stopped during cleaning. 본 발명은 가습공기청정기의 세척제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 수조조립체 또는 디스크조립체의 세척필요여부를 판단하는 판단단계; 상기 판단단계에서 세척이 필요하다고 판단되는 경우 송풍팬이 정지된 상태에서 상기 디스크조립체가 회전하면서 상기 수조조립체에 구비된 초음파진동자를 작동시켜 세척하는 세척단계;를 포함하며, 세척이 진행되는 동안에 팬이 정지되기 때문에 세척으로 인한 오염물질을 외부로 유출시키지 않아 더욱 청결한 사용환경을 제공할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
