The present invention relates to a device for preventing vehicle collisions. The device includes: a first obtaining unit which obtains multiple pieces of vehicle position information per predetermined time using a global positioning system (GPS); a second obtaining unit which obtains multiple pieces of information on surrounding images including obstacles around a vehicle per predetermined time; a prediction unit predicting a predicted position coordinates of the vehicle and the obstacles at a specific point after the current point using the vehicle position information per predetermined time and the information on the surrounding images per predetermined time; and a determining unit which determines the possibility of collisions between the vehicle and the obstacles using the predicted position coordinates of the obstacle and the predicted vehicle.
