Abstract The present invention relates to a method of collecting uranium powders and uranium scraps, generated during a pellet manufacturing process, and uranium ions residing in waste water, and a nuclear fuel pellet manufactured by using the method. According to the invention, an efficient method for handling the uranium scraps, generated during a nuclear fuel manufacturing process, and the uranium, residing in the waste water, is provided. The nuclear fuel pellet, which is manufactured by the uranium handling process and contains ethylenediamine-uranium complex serving to act both as a pore forming agent and a U_3O_8 powder, is provided. Therefore, the uranium scraps, generated during a nuclear fuel manufacturing process, and the uranium, residing in the waste water, are processed efficiently, the uranium is efficiently utilized, and an economic feasibility of the nuclear fuel is improved.
