Summary: | PURPOSE: A touch screen system and an operating method thereof are provided to implement precise touch by controlling a trigger signal in a host without using an active stylus having a complex structure by using a body and a finger as a signal delivery medium. CONSTITUTION: A first sensing circuit (130) receives capacitance change information sensed from first lines (112) to generate a first sensing signal. A selecting unit (140) connects the first lines with a driving circuit (120) or the first sensing circuit. A second sensing circuit (150) receives the capacitance change information sensed by sensing cells (116) from second lines (114) to generate a second sensing signal. A processing unit (160) receives the sensing signal to determine a detected touch position. An external electrode (192) is exposed to an outer surface of a touch screen panel (110) and outputs a trigger signal generated in a trigger signal generating unit (190) to the outside.
