PURPOSE: Economical voltage equalizer and medical imaging apparatus having the voltage equalizer are provided to offer a compact and economical medical imaging apparatus having a wide and uniform range for required voltage. CONSTITUTION: A voltage equalizer includes first coil units (32,104,204,304,403) and second coil units (33,108,208,308,408). The coil units having one selection units (34,35,102,103,202,203,302,303,402) in the first and second coil units are switched in/switched out. The voltage equalizer includes a transformer unit having more than three selection units. Two neighboring selection units are arranged to be separated by a distance including a specific number (N,M) of coils (36,109,209,309,406). The number of coils in the selection units is differently prepared from the number of coils (36,109,209,309,406) in additionally neighboring selection units (34,35,102,103,202,203,302,303,402).
