Abstract PURPOSE: A mapping system for applying a technology which separates an identifier and a locator in a cloud data center, and a network and method thereof are provided to define the ID of each level and to offer a network service through the defined various IDs. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit (512) receives a search request including a virtual machine identifier. The receiving unit identifies a transmission device which sends the search request. A mapping unit (516) searches for a next level identifier corresponding to the next level of the transmission device using an identifier database. A transmission unit (518) generates a search acknowledgment including the next level identifier. The transmission unit transmits the generated search acknowledgment to the transmission device.
