Abstract | PURPOSE: A method for culturing microalgae is provided to improve the growth rate of microalgae, to enhance the oil content of the microalgae, and to obtain a large amount of microalgae biomass and oil by an economic and eco-friendly culture method. CONSTITUTION: A method for culturing microalgae comprises the steps of: initially culturing the microalgae at a nitrogen concentration of 15-160 ppm and a temperature of 22-29 deg. C; and post-culturing the microalgae after lowering the temperature by 2-3 deg. C; and culturing for 10-12 days. The microalgae are cyanobacteria, Microcystis Aeruginosa.
