Summary:PURPOSE: A system for managing data and selecting a personal media device automated in a smart media cloud environment and a method thereof are provided to supply a function for controlling and accessing various electronic devices in a service environment by automatically connecting a multimedia output device with a content state. CONSTITUTION: A service agent unit (120) matches a smart device and a media output device with each information type to set synchronization between the devices. A service requesting unit (110) parses an XML (Extensible Markup Language) document of multimedia data included in the devices and requests a service of a smart media cloud system. An event control unit (140) synchronizes the media output device with the smart device according to the service request to control a multimedia service. A media data receiving unit (130) receives media data provided from the smart media cloud system.
