Abstract | PURPOSE: An input device is provided to prevent unnecessary light reaching a light receiving element by spreading unnecessary light which is generated from a light emitting element and leaked to the light receiving element. CONSTITUTION: A light receiving element(6) is located at an terminating point of a main core(2) for light emission. Light generated from a light emitting element(5) and flowing from a starting point of the main core to the terminating point is emitted from a front end surface of a branch core and the rest of the light penetrates through the terminating point surface of the main core to be leaked to the light receiving element. An air layer of a gap(V) between the light receiving element and the terminating point of the main core for light emission spreads the leaked light to be operated as a light delivery prevention unit for preventing the leaked light from reaching the light receiving element.
