Abstract The present invention is a composite material comprising an organic filament having a melting point of 200°C or higher and a thermoplastic resin, characterized in that the organic filament is in the form of a twisted yarn cord or a woven or knitted fabric composed of twisted yarn cord. The composite material of the present invention is excellent in impact strength and can be used as a core material also in a sandwich material.
