Abstract | PURPOSE: A digital watt-hour meter system and a method for detecting the malfunction of a digital watt-hour meter are provided to determine the malfunction of the system by storing electricity values in three kinds of areas and comparing the electricity values with each other. CONSTITUTION: A main processor(100) and a sub processor(200) detect a voltage and a current of a distribution network(20). A data storage module(300) stores an electricity value measured in a previous time frame of the main processor as an electricity value of a current time frame. A control module(400) compares electricity values stored in current time fames of the main processor, the sub processor, and the data storage module with each other. The control module determines the malfunction of the main processor and the sub processor according to the comparison result.
