Abstract PURPOSE: A display device, a manufacturing method thereof, and a display plate are provided to prevent damage of a substrate due to a cutting process. CONSTITUTION: A second substrate(210) includes a first area and a second area. The first area is opposite to a first substrate. The second area is not opposite to the first substrate. A blocking layer(1) is formed on an inner surface of the first substrate. The blocking layer is formed along with a cutting line of the first substrate. The cutting line is an edge of the first substrate corresponding to the boundary between the first area and the second area.
