Abstract | PURPOSE: Organic waste treating apparatus and method of improved methane yield are provided to reduce the generating amount of sludge, to improve the generating efficiency of methane, and to use the efficiency of the organic waste. CONSTITUTION: An acid fermenting bath, a solid-liquid separating bath, an anaerobic digesting bath, an autothermal thermophlic aerobic digesting(ATAD) bath, a stabilizing bath, a precipitating bath, and a sludge digesting bath are prepared. The acid fermenting bath implements a hydrolyzing reaction and an acid generating reaction by introducing pre-treated food waste, sewage sludge, wastewater sludge, agricultural waste, and livestock waste. The solid-liquid separating bath eliminates acid fermented microorganisms. The anaerobic digesting bath generates methane gas by digesting acetic acid and alcohol-containing organic materials. The ATAD bath decomposes the organic materials from the anaerobic digesting bath and eliminates nitrogen without nitration. The weight of sludge is reduced through the ATAD bath. The stabilizing bath changes the characteristic of the sludge. The precipitating bath precipitates the sludge and implements a solid-liquid process with respect to liquid from the stabilizing bath. The sludge digesting bath methane-ferments the sludge from the precipitating bath. |
