Summary:PURPOSE: A security door using smart glass and a control method thereof are provided to keep user's privacy by preventing the interior side from being shown from the exterior side. CONSTITUTION: A security door using smart glass comprises an outer door panel(1a) which is transparent or translucent, an inner door panel(1b) which is made of smart glass installed separate from the outer door panel, a polarizing film(2) which is attached to the inner door panel, a door frame(3) which is installed to surround the edges of the inner and outer door panels, and a light source(4) which is installed to illuminate a vacuum space between the inner and outer door panels.
