Abstract PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device is provided to increase the pixel opening ratio and permeability by finely patterning a signal line and the width of electrode. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(101), a common line(104), a first pixel electrode(109), a pixel electrode pattern, a first common electrode pattern, a second common electrode pattern, a gate pad(110), and a data pad(103a) are formed. An active layer(116) is formed on the top part of the gate line. Source/drain electrodes, a data line, a gate pad pattern, and a data pad pattern are formed on a substrate on which the active layer is formed.
