Summary:PURPOSE: An integral suspension device using the magneto-rheological fluid is provided to enhance the damping capacity without the increase of the whole length of a suspension device using a separate external cylinder. CONSTITUTION: An integral suspension device using the magneto-rheological fluid comprises a first cylinder(12), a damping cylinder(27), a piston rod(23), a magneto-rheological fluid adjusting valve(21), a second cylinder(14). One end of the first cylinder is fixed to the vehicle body and the gas is filled in the cylinder. The damping cylinder is inserted from the other end of the first cylinder to the inside of the first cylinder in a state of being filled with the magneto-rheological fluid. One end of the piston rod is connected to the vehicle body. The piston rod is extended by passing through the inside of the damping cylinder and the first cylinder in the fixed state. The magneto-rheological fluid adjusting valve is formed in the damping cylinder. The magneto-rheological fluid adjusting valve adjusts the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid according to control current, which is supplied from a current pipe in the piston rod. The second cylinder is formed on the side of the first cylinder in a state of being communicated with the first cylinder through a communicating hole.
