Summary:PURPOSE: A multi-functional system for opening and closing a door and a method thereof are provided to open door in the event that a smart card is lost. CONSTITUTION: A smart card(10) transmits the medium access control identification information to a multi-functional system for opening and closing a door(100) through wireless communication. The multi-functional system is installed to a door. A touch-sensitive sensor detects a proximity or contact signal from the outside. Based on the secret number from the proximity or contact signal or the medium access control identification information from the smart card, the multi-functional system is controlled.
