Abstract | PURPOSE: A triple-joint neck mechanism of an android robot with a serial structure is provided to prevent skin or clothes from being hung on links by embedding the links inside a frame of a back. CONSTITUTION: A triple-joint neck mechanism of an android robot with a serial structure comprises a pitch, a roll, and a yaw joint(1,2,3). The pitch joint is installed inside the head. The roll joint is positioned under an arm. The yaw joint is positioned inside the neck and occupies a small space in parallel to the neck. The convenience of mechanical analysis is improved by straightly arranging all joints. |
