Abstract PURPOSE: A wavelength division multiplexing device is provided to make a spectrum of a light emitted from an output waveguide with a flattop shape by interfering lights outputted from a ring resonator. CONSTITUTION: The wavelength division multiplexing device includes an input waveguide(120) and a plurality of ring resonators(110). The ring resonators are arranged between output waveguides(131,132,133). The ring resonators are parallel coupled in each output waveguide. A plurality of ring resonators forms a parallel type ring resonator structure(PR1,PR2,PRn). A spectrum outputted through the output waveguide is formed by overlapping lights outputted through each ring resonator which forms the parallel type ring resonator structure.
