Summary:A device for controlling a train based on radio communication are provided to reduce maintenance costs by using an infrastructure of a mobile telephone service provider, thereby easily building a train control system of a radio communication type. A mobile telephone communication system comprises a base station(15), a base station controller(14) and an exchange(13). A WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) system is comprised of a data communication device(16) and a ground RF(Radio Frequency) modem(17). A ground train control system(11) transmits proper speed and route commands based on various information to a train. A ground communication interface device(12) connects or disconnects a communication channel according to a communication load.
