Summary: | A method for manufacturing chlorine is provided to maintain activity of a catalyst for a long reaction time. A method for manufacturing chlorine includes a step for dipping a cerium compound in a carrier and a step for oxidizing hydrogen chloride into gas containing oxygen by using the cerium compound as a catalyst. The cerium compound is a cerium oxide. The catalyst is made by oxidizing the cerium compound after dipping the cerium compound in the carrier. The rate of the carrier is 1~10 weight%. Size of the cerium compound is 100nm~100mum. |
