A method for detecting the spot region from a DNA microarray image comprises the steps of extracting a plurality of spot regions in a plurality of image regions contained in the DNA microarray image; adding the spot region omitted in the plurality of spot regions based on the matrix formed by the plurality of spot regions to correct the plurality of spot regions; and omitting the error spot region from the corrected plurality of spot regions based on the coordination information of the corrected plurality of spot regions.
