Abstract A method and an apparatus for modeling channels are provided to generate SIMO(Single Input Multi Output), MISO(Multi Input Single Output), and MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) channels based on an SDR(Software Defined Radio) scheme. An apparatus for modeling channels includes a parameter input unit(101), a multi-channel signal generating unit(102), and a multi-channel signal transmitting unit(103). The parameter input unit inputs multi-channel parameters including traveling conditions. The multi-channel signal generating unit generates multi-channel signals using the parameters inputted through the parameter input unit. The multi-channel signal transmitting unit transmits the digital multi-channel signals generated from the multi-channel signal generating unit to an external transmission device.
